Description.
Matorral Beach
(Thicket Beach) is the largest touristic beach in Fuerteventura, with
nearly 3 Km. of continuous beach (4 km if we add the
next beach: Playa Gaviotas).
Its width is
incredible, with space for everyone, and is limited
by the "Saladar of Jandia", which separates it
from the hotel zone.
There are several beach
bars, sun beds and water sports, besides being a way
for any offer for the tourist in the Avenida del Morro Jable-Saladar Jandia.
The sand is fine
white-blonde, and the sea is quiet and very clean.
This beach is so big
that perfectly absorbs the thousands of tourists
staying in MorroJable, so there is very little
traffic areas even in the middle of August.
In the center of the
beach are the Jandia Lighthouse, over 60 meters high.
My Opinion:
It´s an excellent touristic beach and you should
go at least a day , if only to take a walk along the
shore for several hours, from the village of Morro Jable to
the Iberostar Hotels.
