The area of Jandia -
Morro Jable, one of four resorts in Fuerteventura, has
one of the largest beaches of Fuerteventura:
Matorral Beach.
The
name of the beach "scrub" is due to the large amount
of vegetation found, all plants that tolerate salt
water, and forming one of the most
important ecosystems in the Canary Islands: The Saladar Jandia, with species Uvilla de
Mar, or "Brusquilla".
This area is
secured by fencing and beach
access is over footbridges over this protected
natural area.
I have
divided the beach into two zones scrub "scrub",
comprising the stretch of beach from the town of Morro Jable to
the Barcelo Hotels and Iberostar, also called Playa
Gaviotas, ranging from Barcelo Hotels and SBH to Aldiana Club.
It's a giant beach,
where there is always room to be
comfortable free. There are several beach
bars scattered along the beach, and a number
of areas with hammocks and parasols.
It is a safe beach,
with very clean water and white sand
and fine-grained blond.
One of the
only drawbacks to go to these beaches is the
parking, as the busiest days at the beach, it's hard
to find a good place to park.
