The
people of Tetir belongs to the
municipality of Puerto del Rosario, and is one of the most
important in the municipality. Situated in a fertile
valley surrounded by hills, and you can spend a few hours to
visit. The most interesting is the town
square and the church of Santo Domingo de Guzman ,the eighteenth
century. It has a very beautiful altarpiece, which can be
visited (this small church is along the La Ampuyenta and Pájara, one of
the most beautiful of Fuerteventura). If you visit this town on the first
Sunday of each month, you can see the Craft Market to be
held that day, where there is often also music
performances typical of the Canaries. There are not
many places to buy things, but it is nice to visit, see the
performances and have a snack.
