The
village of La Ampuyenta is located
in the inner zone of the municipality of Puerto del
Rosario, and is about 20 kilometers from the capital of Fuerteventura, on
the FV-20.
This picturesque village has
several points of interest
Church: one of the best on the
island, with the murals most important and best preserved of the
Canary Islands, paintings and altar exceptional. It was built in
the late seventeenth century to honor St. Peter Alcántara. It´s
an Artistic and Historical Monument of Cultural Interest in
1993.

Fray Andresito House: The
house of the Franciscan who was renowned for his charitable
works in Latin America. It can read the story of the monk, as
well as pictures related to his life.
Fuente de los Pocitos :
An area for barbecues and grills, with a natural source
of water, tables and entertainment area. It is an interesting
area, but lacks sun-protected areas.
In addition to these four
points of interest in this town there are
also some well-preserved old houses in which you can see how the
houses were in the past two centuries.
