The
city of Great Tarajal is located in
the municipality of Tuineje, on the east coast of the island and
is the closest place is in Africa, within 100 miles. It is the second largest city of
the island, and is eminently commercial and services, and is
not a resort. It has a black sand beach (Blue
Flag), over a mile long, a large marina and is close to Puerto
del Rosario and Morro Jable, the third commercial port that
connects toFuerteventura Gran Canaria and Tenerife. Its promenade is excellent with
a wide range of cuisine, from the Fishermen's
Association with freshly caught fish to different bars and
restaurants Canarian and Italianf ood. Great Tarajal has all kinds of
shops and supermarkets in the town center, in addition to
several industrial areas on its periphery with
large supermarkets and other shops. Tours are forced to climb
the mountain behind the football field, where there are
exceptional views of the town, visit the Lime
Kiln Lighthouse or Entallada, only 10kilometers.
