In this Fuerteventura beaches Guide we can´t forget
the small tourist village of El Cotillo, located in
the north of the island, on the west coast. Geared
primarily to tourism, this picturesque place has an
extensive range of apartments of different
categories located on the
beach, and outstanding cuisine especially fresh fish caught
by many fishermen in the area.
The beaches of El Cotillo are the
best in the world, with fine sand like flour, white
and turquoise clear waters filled with marine life.
In the village of El Cotillo Los
Lagos are frequented by the villagers, and a
little further north we visit the beach of La Concha, Blue
Flag in 2010-2011, which has white sand, clear water
and are very well protected by the natural reef,
which virtually eliminates the waves. These two
beaches, being family, no nudity is common.
And south of town, past the Castle of El Toston, you
can visit a wild beach of over 1,300meters of golden
sand and spectacular scenery, which is frequented by
practitioners of kiteboarding.
All the beaches are easily park a few meters from
the sea, and some of them have hammocks rent,
showers, snack bar and other services
