Description.
The middle area of
Playa de Sotavento is also called Risco
del Paso, and is the natural continuation of
the northern Leeward beach, also called Playa Barca. There
is a windsurfing school (Rene Egli), which has a
bar bar, and more than enough parking for everyone.
To reach Risco
del Paso, you must take the road from Costa Calma to Morro Jable, and
about 5 miles, take the turn properly indicated to
the left
This area of Playa de Sotavento is very
windy, so except for a few days a year, not a beach
for sunbathing. But to give you a good walk along
the beach for several hours is perfect, because
with its sandbars and lakes is the most beautiful
beaches.
If you park in this
area, you can walk to the south of the Playa de
Sotavento, which is a very typical of the
island, with a white sand dune and shrub areas where
you are sheltered from the wind.
My Opinion:
One of the most
beautiful beaches on the island, but especially for
walking, because the wind is strong and full
of windsurfers. Not bad given a good ride and then
eat at Bar School Windsurfing
